i have never expeienced a g60

but my mk2 vr6 is like a rocket supercharging it this year hopefully
and alot of people say the vr6 lasts forever

The Corarrdo VR6 is a 2.9 with more bhp, while the MK3 VR6 is only a 2.8 VR6 with less bhp. Also a Golf VR6 donor will have more of a chance of being thrashed by a previous owner.

VR6 all the way.
The 2.9 is just under 200 bhp out the box and if that isnt quick enough then stick a charger on there aswell.

G60 is much easier to upgrade performance, the block i very well built (takes a thrashing), out the box is 160bhp and lighter than a vr6. And the engine on the outside is much the same, so no butchering of the front subframe and will make a great noise. If it were me and my money look at an s3 engine and box 280bhpish.
