MK2 16V tuning! what induction kit?

It wouldn't be worth going to the trouble of removing the trumpet in the airbox and fitting the original paper panel filter as these are really restrictive.

Get yourself a K&N panel filter as the noise it makes when its on song is worth the money alone and it will stop the depression caused when your put your toe down and try to draw air through an original paper filter.

I removed the trumpet on mine and also drilled the inner wing side of the airbox with a 16mm spade bit so it looked like a connect 4 game. It makes a gorgeous noise and the car is slightly more responsive on the throttle than it was without the mods.

will see il remove the trumpet from the front of the air box and then see how it sound slightly reluctant to drill holes incase i do summit wrong and once it,s done it's done and their is nowt i can then do about it! but being young the more noise the better!

also how much for a replacement panel filter?

well seem to find even removing the pipe from the box it's npt that loud but loosened the lid a little and it lat rip but obviously this isn't a good thing.

will drilling the lower half of the air box make a big difference?
