Central locking
« on: 24 October 2006, 15:55 »
Hello everyone wondered if I could pick your brains. My girlfriend has a MK4 110 GT TDI on a 51 plate. She keeps having problems with the central locking. When unlocking it's turning into a lets guess which door will unlock game. When locking we're having to check each door and the boot to make sure it's locked. Any ideas???
Also the suspension feels soft and wollows at lot more than I expected. Should it feel so tiered at less than 50k on the clock? Any after market suggestions or OE VW up grades?
Anyone got a rear hatch spoiler for sale?
Which is the best re map to go for and are they any good?
Sorry for all the questions know very little VW and even less MK4. Would be grateful for any help.

sounds like you have a faulty door module  you got two options; try and repair it yourself (the soldering on the circuits disintergrates) or buy a new one for about £70

and yes the suspension can feel soft and tired after so few miles; i had my rear suspension bushes replaced at 55K
