MK1 PARTS

RECENTLY BOUGHT A MK 1 GTI 1800, Y REG 83 MARS RED. THE GUY I HAD IT FROM SPRAYED ALL THE AIR VENTS AND DOORHANDLES, COVER AROUND THE HEATER DIALS ETC . IN A CRAP RED COLOUR. ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME REPLACEMENTS CHEAP.

Had the same problem - why do it???? They look crap.  Replaced all mine on Ebay for a few quid - got all "old skool" chrome surround bits - dash looks really tidy now. ;D

Same here too, brought a Mars Red Mk1 and the plonker b4 me sprayed all the dash with some nasty silver spray, even the arieal has been caught by Mr Muppet and his fettish for nasty silver spray..

Got a really good dash and a pair of air vents thrown in as part of a job lot I bought.  Decent offers + P&P and they're yours.

Hello Neil,

Its ok now I managed to get the nasty paint off with white spirit, however I had to travel round with my eyes watering from the smell for a week! + no Smoking!

Managed to get all the bits i needed for ?30 including a steering wheel. Th e only thing i can't get is the red pieces to go around the grill on the front. Can anyone help!!!

Ive got a red grill surround needs spaying or t-cutting its a bit faded buts its not bent or damaged which is the important bit email me on alaxw@yahoo.co.uk
