Golf GTI / Mk.V 30th Edition

My dealer has just phoned me and he is sending the press pack for it.

The car is available in
Black
White,
Silver,
Red,
Gray.
The wheels are 18" Pesccara 14 spoke
All options as per the normal GTI are available except the change of wheels and recaro seats - Hurra get the sunroof.
Comes in Manual (even better!) and DSG.
I Shall post more details once i get the full spec through on Monday unless Laim wants to beat me to it.
Delivery March / April next year?

Is this all really true?  Heard so many rumors over the past few months only to be told by my dealer that they have not heard anything...  still didn't stop them from taking a deposit from me though

Illyun, this is the word of the dealer as per VW press release issued yesterday, 26/10/06. Can't comment on accuracy but it is official info.

Just placed and order with £500 deposit.  No more news from the dealer than already posted.  I'm #2 on the list so fingers crossed it's more than one car per dealer.  BTW it was at Benfield at the Sliverlink Newcastle.  Is number #1 on list active on the forums.?
