First Car!
« on: 28 August 2006, 13:21 »
Having just turned 17 it was time for my first car. Luckily this was for sale about 5 mins down the road from me, all in all its costing me £600 and £450 on insurance which is a bargain reallym, Especially for someone my age. Payday is looming so new head unit and speakers coming soon, if I find I have some cash leftover some lowering springs are next on the list. Better than the usual saxo's, fiesta's, puntos you see about. Heres a picture:

Plus its great on petrol and pleanty of room in the back to pile BMX's in. My first step on the VW ladder.

One of these insurance companys that advertise in the yellow pages, cheaper than I thought. Plus I get trade prices on parts I need but with it been a VW its solid, has the odd rust patch but with my dad owning about 15 mk1 and mk2 ford escorts through the years hes used to sorting that out. brought some new discs and pads the other day £28 in total bargain. Love it

nice one! i pay only a little less than that on my 1.4 and Im 20! Its not exactly standard though

Owning a mk3 round here does open you up to many a nautical joke but its worth it. Just ignore them!

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

Cheers guys, asked parents today why my insurance is so cheap im with direct line but because I have had my push bike insured with them for over 4 years (all £3500's worth  :embarassed:) and I have built up my no claims which is cool. Yeh I have a freind who owns a MK2 belive me I get the stick
