Hello just thought I'd update you, I bought that MK3 GTI that I went to have a look at it was a forum members car got it home to find out its F****D!!! thought it just had a drive shaft oil seal leaking toom it to my tried and very trusted independant VW workshop to find out the diff was knackered and thts why there was an oil leak not only that, when they took the gearbox out to overhaul it they found the clutch was sha**ed too (apparently a new one was fitted recently!
) £600.00 bill coming my way as well as paying £1150.00 for the car, not as good a car as expected! but gonna work on it try and get it spic and span! the bodywork is good though no rust at all!!! but not very happy should have got another scirocco!
oh and for some reason its four stud wheels and not five? anybody know why this could be?
