Finally - a new car
« on: 22 August 2006, 08:39 »

Well I sold my FTO a couple of weeks ago & ended my Jap nightmare. Being slightly out of pocket I started to look at mk2's instead of mk3's. After weeks of searching for a mk2, I spotted a fantastic mk3 on ebay. It was in the marine-like metallic blue which I was looking at before, mint condition inside & out - and completely standard! I rung the garage owner, and he said it was for sale for £1600, but would take £1500 cash - so I decided to risk it on the auction. Not going to say what I paid, but I got an absolute bargain!

The only prob is that the car is currently in Glasgow! So have just booked flights from Cardiff on Friday, then face a 7 hour drive home!

 Nah, fair play to the seller, there were dozens of pictures of every angle of the car. Plus they are going to valet & service the car ready for me to drive away. Not many sellers do that for free.

Really looking forward to picking it up now

Cheers all for your comments
