Engine transplant

will a 2.0 16v code 9a engine from a corrado fit in a mk1 cabby and is there much work involved.

Engine will drop straight in ;D, use the clutch pressure plate for a mk2 16v and a 8v centre plate. That will make it work with your g/box (or use a mk2 16v box e.t.c.) There is a bit of messing around with hoses and injection pipes, the ign system is different(use mk2 16v parts or fit the whole corrado system) exhaust manifold is another prob but there are 4 branch manifolds for the mk1 16v conversion around. Will make a nice conversion (I have done it ;)). Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
