It does not look too bad although I did something similar to an old 16v I had but mine was not so noticable as I did not remove any of the grill and just cable tied it in place.

veedubgti16v did this but ran it from the bottom of the bumper i think i cant remember tho it wsa ages ago

You are going to need a bend in the pipe when you do this sort of direct air flow, plus put some holes in the bend. Otherwise you will be sucking water in on a wet day :sad: and creating your own internal MK2 paddling pool.

Not a big fan of the styling, but if it does the job?

try and get the bit that goes behind the drivers side light, it does exactly the same thing and probably does a better job too. thats what the bit sticking out the airbox is for :nerd:

i did do similar to this but absolutely butchered an airbox bottom and moulded the intake into it so it was airtight, but it didnt really make any diffrence and the ally pipe went brittle and cracked after about a month :grin:

Thank you mate. I dont have a bit above my drivers light so must try and hunt one down from a scrappy.
