help with gti gearbox

well if anybodys local to stoke i really could do with a hand putting in my gearbox!

started it yesterday and i cant get the old box out as the long driveshaft is solid on the car! everything else bar 1 mounting and the clutch cable is off!

is their anything i should be aware of before i split the box?

also is anybody offering to help as i really need the car done before uttoxeter so i can go in it rather than the poxy corsa that weve had to buy!
been let down for 2 months now by people saying they were going to do it so if you say you can help really id appreciate it if you could turn up ;-) thank you guys

well we'd come help you but you said you'd got someone else to do it so looks like youll just have to sort it yourself now.

well just been up to the golf! tis lookin bit dirty and with the engine in the air looks good,
should be ready tomorrow yay ;-) mite be just in time for sunday at vwaction ;-)
