Think I have it sorted for the time being. Maybe it can be improved on still. Give it a go though and let me know if there are any problems. The URL to my page is
http://users.fireflyuk.net/~bgodkin/index.html just go to the VW Chat link and it will take you to the chat page. It is set up to go to #GolfGTI automatically. Takes a couple seconds on a slow connection (like mine) but was working on my end.
