can anyone please help with elec windows

hi guys right my car has elec windows and the passenger one works fine going up and down but when you take it right down into the door it wont come up again it just makes a clicking buzzing noise. the only way to get it up is to take off the door card and push it up while pressing the switch.

any help would be real appreciated

sounds like the gears in the motor are jamming up if you open the window too far, you could try stripping the motor & re-greasing it?  The other thing you could do is check if theres a stop on it that has broken off or something, or perhaps fit something to stop the window opening all the way?

when i got my gti the passenger window would open but would take a week to close so stripped out the motor took the casing apart and sprayed white greaase down the cable and with it still plugged in i wound it in and out untill the grease came out the bottom into the part where the goes onto the wheel.put it all back together and heh presto it was all good!
