New member................ seeking advice

im looking for advice on lowering my mk2 driver (cant afford to insure a gti yet). i want to slam it low but dont know how much or wether arch work will be needed? im running 15inch ozs and dont want to splash out on coilovers till i get a gti

any help appreciated

far as i know, 40mm is the normal amount thats easy to achieve. Mine is 40mm and just needed new springs (with dampers) no body work on stock wheels. I would think diffent wheels would have different offsets so may cause issues but i am sure someone more knoledgeable can answer that.

some would say 15s dont scrub, but personally ive had 8 sets of 15 inch wheels on the golfs ive had and theyve all scrubbed at some point, on the 40 mm drop that ive had they only rub with people in the back, my gti is slightly lower than the 40mm drop in used to and i didnt think that rubbed but found out the other day that it did when trying to drive multiple people home so yesterday i had the hacksaw out   :cool:
