Hi,
I had the Golf in at Awsome GTi over the weekend for a full service and after notifying them of a problem with the alarm they hooked it up tp VAG.COM which confirmed 'no response from the alarm horn'.
I have been told that the alarm horn is positioned under the wipers and therefore whilst the horn is not expensive, the labour will be as allot of work is involved!
Does anyone know if you are able to simply redirect the 'alarm horn' to the standard horn? Surely this would have made more sense as a secondary backup in the 1st place? Although, VW stealers couldn't therefore charge £60+VAT to fix it?
Any advice would help!
