If I was you, mate, I'd have swapped the Rover for the Golf...

Now that would've been a great garage right there.

Good luck with it tho, you're gonna have to do a lot for us to like you after admitting you have a Ferrari. Bloody rich bastid...

its not how rich you are its how much debt you want to take on lol

i was sad to the the 911 go actually but i got a good offer on it! and porsches are not what they were for resale its milage was getting higher and it was loosing 1 k a week according to the guides!

i need the r rover for towing

this is my fourth golf gti  i was very lucky to own a mk 1 1600 cc what a car i also had a mk 3 gti and a mk 4 oh and a mk 3 VR6

so i guess golfs or shud i say gtis are in my blood.

wasnt gonna buy a replacement till i saw this car yesterday and after a drive of a similar car i thought i gotta have it

sorry to go on but the good thing about golfs apart from the car its self is that they are classless you could turn up to a garden party at buckingham palace in it and no one would say its ONLY a golf   if you know what i mean.

is the DSG the best option

cheers Tim

Oh, I misread it, u have a Range Rover, not a Rover, Phew!!!

As for DSG, everyone says they are amazing boxes, they give quicker gearchanges than we can do with manuals, so if I was in the market for a mk5, I'd definiatly go for one with DSG.

The Doc has had a mk5 GTI and R32, so he'd be the best person to know. He'll probably reply to this anyways..

And reply I shall!

Firstly NICE COLOUR - Same as my missus GT TDI and my next R32!

The DSG is perfect for me as I favour an auto 90% of the time! Plus the DSG is the closest thing to a stick so you get the best of both worlds!

PLUS have you heard the little cough as you change gear at high revs yet? Its the nicest sound ever!

I love 'em and have ordered my next R32 with the DSG and even got it in my new van too!  :smug:

So good luck and enjoy your new toy!

Welcome..

DSG takes a little bit of time to get used to and also get the best out of, but it's worth it once you've cracked it...  This is my second car with DSG and it really suits the GTi.  You'll love it....
