With the plates, it depends on how safe the fuzz are, generally locals are ok, and would probably say 'When you get home just swap em back, as traffic really get off on that sort of stuff..'
You know, I got followed doing 55 in a 30 by the locals once and when we stopped he was just like, 'Calm down a bit with it, I know you live round here and know the roads, but anyone could pull out without looking, so just be a bit slower...'
Although when I was hit up the arse by a met officer's wife, because they found out I was a btp officer's son (my dad and his team turned up in their unmarked galaxy because he wanted to make sure i was ok) the Traffic officers were trying to pin the blame on me, when she admitted her accelerator was defective, but she drove into me at over 30mph (I was at a standstill and ended up facing the other way on the other side of the road)!
