I need a quick sale for my Golf GTI. I have put it in the for sale section but it's not getting much response. I'd be happy to take around £4200-£4300.

Company car is being delivered next week!!!!!

Here's the car

Well, I've now dropped it to £4150. I'll probably take just under £4,000.

I'd say £4000 aswell as turbos are starting there abouts. What are you replacing it with?
Audi TT 3.2 24v v6 2005 - The Sloth - Weekends
VW Golf 2.0 8v GTI 1996 - Lemonade II -Daily
MNR Vortx Yamaha R1 2009 - Track days
Sold Seat Leon Cupra R 225 -LM04 NDE "Lemonade"

Well, getting a company car and buying a house. House is the main reason.

To be brutally honest., I'd say the colour is probably putting most people off. I would have said a met black or met silver of that age mileage conditon may command £3700 ish. I am sure at £3500 you may have a quickish sale. Have you advertised it properly yet? (Autotrader Ebay?)

Unfortunately the mk4 has taken a big hit recently..

Well I've dropped it down to £4000. I'm now on Ebay with one watcher at £3900. If it comes down to it'll drop the price again. Why has the mark 4 Golf taken a hit then, I've noticed it aswell when I've been looking through the Autotrader.

Mark,

I sold one too recently - so I know how you feel! I imagined it was worth about 2k more than it was

I expect it is mainly because they were at a premium for so long - now there seem to be so many around and they don't seem as special as they once did.

You'll sell it for whatever someone is prepared to pay (obvious I know) - but  someone may like the colour, appreciate the recent work done and think £4k+ is a good buy for them.

Yeh it's definitely depressing but I think Ebay should produce some results. It's frustrating.
