What Wheels and Arches

Hi, as i said in the Intro part of the forum, this will be the first of many questions

What size wheels would you want to fill G60 Arches?

Also would you be able to fit these on a Mk2 Golf?  http://www.rtecshop.com/index.php?p=product_view&product_id=5803

If not does anyone know of any wheels which are similar?

I think the spokes are a bit narrow on that TSW wheel.

I personally do not like to run on anything bigger than 15" rims.  15" is the perfect balance of performance and brake size.  Bigger than 15" is purely for aesthetic reasons and will compromise the handling/ride.

I have G60 arches on mine with 15"x7" rims running 195/50/15 tyres with an offset of ET20.  It is the offset that fills the arches nicely rather than running ridiculously wide rims/tyres resulting in tramlining, extra expense and poor ride.

cool thanks, i reckon 15x7's might be the way to go then, the other thing i was worried about was tramlining, especially if you run negative camber, but you answered that one!, my mini used to do it terribly

Look at Compomotives.  You can order them direct from the manufacturer (making them cheap) and you can specify the offset and colour on top of the usual model, size and pcd.

Decided on the Compomotive RL Road Wheel, just a quick question though, the offsets run from ET16 to ET50, i presume that the ET50 would give me the deep dish effect? What would be best to run on a Mk2 Golf? I reckon about ET30?

Its the width of the wheel that affects the dish, not the offset. Offset just changes how far out the wheel sits, its the distance from the face of the wheel that mates with the hub to the inside edge of the wheel. I would run about an ET 25 or 30 depending on the width of wheel you're going for, to fill a g60 arch.
