if it was me, black red clusters, a black grill badge, chrome door handle trims and the correct front & rear 16v badges.  I'd also go back to standard front lights and fit a mint set of spotlamps too with the proper hella stickers on, thats it :)

I know what you are saying re the rear clusters, but I kind of like the clear ones better with it having clear front and sides too.

Thanks for the link on the inner spots. Gonna get some asap.

Re the black grille badge it actually came with one and I swapped it for chrome as the rear badge was red and I replaced that with a chrome one and wanted them to match. Are chrome badges "not the done thing?". As for the badges, I prefer the badgeless "sleeper" effect. I actually took the 16v badges off as I'd rather it look like an 8v for the surprise factor.

Seen the single wiper conversions advertised. My mum used to have a single wiper on her 1982 Scirocco GTi years ago. Are they a bit of a "Max Power" mod then?

I'm planning to get a 9a bottom end fairly soon and then maybe go for a DIY turbo conversion next year. I've got a lot of experience with modded turbo engines from my Subaru days and my mate is currently building a turbo Corrado 16v.

£1500!!!!!!! BARGAIN OF THE CENTURY!

Your on the right track going for a 9a bottom end. As for the turbo conversion, nice one! Keep us all updated. Might be worth starting a project section.

Looks very nice mate. If you like the lighter rear end why not have a look at some m3 crystals for the back?

As for "the done thing", that really should be whatever you think looks good, after all, its your car and you who's gonna be driving it!!

How about an engine swap?  I have a nice 1.6 cl engine that would do you wonders

Want a bodykit?  I have a nice pearl-rust 4 door kit that would match.

Some nice steelies? I got just the thing on my driveway that would suit the other kit you are dying to have now I have mentioned that its available.

Its just my opinion but I think you ought to just sign over the new keepers paperwork to me and I will throw the other stuff in for nothing along with whatever else is sat on my driveway.  Bargain
