6 in 2 years? How about 13 in 1 year ÂÂÂ

2002
1. Nissan Micra, 62k, L Reg, 1994
2004
2. Mk3 Golf GTI 8v 91k, P Reg 1996 - I was after a BMW 3-Series 323 Coupe but had to 'settle' for the Mk3 GTI as a 'stop-gap' car... but as soon as I drove the thing, I didn't look back and the rest is history...
2005
3. Mk3 Golf GTI 8v 140k, J Reg, 1992
4. Mk2 Golf GTI 16v 54k, J Reg 1991
5. Mk2 Golf GTI 16v Campaign 143k, E Reg 1987
6. Subaru Impreza STI Import 72k km, L Reg 1993 - a dabble in a different marque, fast as anything but nowhere near as good as a GTI as an all round package. Learnt the error of my ways pretty soon and then continued driving the best classic GTIs around in the most mint and original condition that I could find them in.
7. Mk1 Golf GTI Campaign 170k, A Reg 1983
8. Mk3 Golf VR6 Highline 72k, P Reg 1997
9. Mk1 Golf GTI 74k, Y Reg 1983
10. Mk2 Golf GTI 8v 92k, J Reg 1992
2006
11. Mk2 Golf G60 Syncro, 71k, H Reg 1991
12. Mk3 Golf GTI 8v 143k, K Reg 1992
13. Mk1 Golf GTI Campaign 62k, A Reg 1983
14. Mk2 Golf GTI 8v 39k, F Reg
15. Mk5 Golf GTI, 06 Reg 2006
I currently have numbers 11, 13, 14 and 15.... but 11 and 14 have to go as I now have to face up to the real world and buy my first house...ÂÂÂ

Plans for the future? Find a low mileage <50k 3-door Mk2 16v and keep that along with the Mk1 Campaign. That will be it for me.
The best car out of the lot was the Mk2 8v with 92k on the clock, followed very closely by the Mk2 16v and then the Mk5 and with the Mk1 Campaign with 62k coming fourth. Worst car has to be the Mk3 8v - very nasty - that really does not deserve the GTI badge.
