Gamma code
« on: 10 April 2006, 22:07 »
Hi,

I had to take my gamma hu out today to connect up an mp3 adapter went to re-connect everything and its asking me for a code ?

When I bought the car (golf .16 2001) it came with no manual or codes.

Does anyone know how I can unlock it ?  :undecided:

Called them up to make sure I dont go all the way there and there too busy  ... basically they need the car, v5 doc and £20!!!

They said it has to be connected to a VAG thingy and they can find the code form that.  :undecided:

well booked in for 3pm today see if I can work something out with them face to face because that seems a bit much. But without it cant use any of my audio stuff which I've been itching like a flee in dry skin to. *blady horrible thought that*

well all done and dusted know.  turns out I was "mis-informed" on the phone there is no charge for this service. Had to wait about 30 mins but no probs.

Everything working as it should be and sweet as having access to my mp3s in car now.

cheers as ever rhyso

When I disconnected the car battery to weld the exhaust clamp, I expected the radio unit (Gamma) to ask for a code which I have, yet it just re-tuned itself and all was OK.
