gti 16" alloys wanted
« on: 31 March 2006, 22:12 »
I'd like to get a set of the turbo alloys the one that have 5 double spokes if you know what i mean(montreals maybe??). Has anyone got a good condition set of these alloys or thinking of upgrading to 17s/18s/19s in the near future?

I thought the Montreal II still fetched good money Gaz??

They seemed to when I was looking on EBay a few months ago - £200-£400 a set, maybe they have come down lots.

The early turbo ones (montreal 1 ?) always seemed to be cheaper, reckon you should get a good set with good tyres for sub £200..

The split rim optional BBS are a corrosion nightmare - look nice though, but somehow look small for 16"

Thats why id like to go for the double 5 spoke type as they look easy to clean and after having some bbs style wheels i just cant be botherd as it took 5-10mins a wheel!!
Im looking to spend £100-£250 for a very nice set with good tyre tread depth.
