MK2 2.0L 16 ABF MODS - next steps

After deciding to keep my MKII 2.0l ABF 16v I am after more power & need some help on the next steps.

It is currenlty running on k-jet but I have sourced all of the parts to convert to the ABF Management System (as advised from members here) and will get the ECU remapped on a RR.

I then have the option of either going with some shrick 268 cams or fitting a TSR Tall Block 4 Branch manifold.
Do not really want to stretch my budget to both so what is the best option?

Heard that the manifolds give good mid range improvement but sound 'tinny' - 5-8 BHP Gain?
& that the cams would give me improved mid range & top end but I could lose some low down torque (will this be noticable?) - 8-12BHP gain?

The car already has a performance exhaust & panel air filter.

Personally I would go for a flowed head, I think it would givethe best gain per £ also I dont think you'd get best from either cams or four branch with a standard head, failing that what about a a lightened flywheel? a cheap mod but makes a big difference to the way the engine picks up.
