Hi guys
Some of you may have seen the problems I've been having with my gearbox here
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=35806.0Well, managed to get the gearbox and clutch out on saturday, and turns out what I
thought was the oil filler nut was in fact just a bolt that someone had put in to fill an enormous hole in the gearbox casing!

I'm assuming a diff rivet has come lose and done this at some point in the past, so I'm glad I bought a new box now rather than just trying to replace the seal! This does bring about a new problem tho......does anyone know where the filler nut actually is, and how I can check the oil level?ÂÂÂ

A couple of the driveshaft bolts were knackered too and had to be ground off, but we didn't have the spline tool for the rest anyway so had to use an allen key bashed in pretty hard to remove them. Got 12 new bolts now, but obviously I don't wanna put them back like that, but I don't have the correct spline tool either, so can anyone help??
Went to halfrauds but they only sold it as part of a 37 piece set for £30! Just wondering if anyone had one they might be kind enough to lend me for saturday? I live in dunstable, but we're doing the car in the southgate area of north london, so if anyone around those areas is feeling generous.......

Failing that, anyone know where I can get one for a
reasonable price? I think it's called a M8 spline tool.
cheers
