8v GTI vs 8V driver.....cam difference

heres the difference. Gti one is on the left with longer lobes for more duration. They are both exactly the same just longer durations thats it. In essence you could use 8v driver ones in a gti as well to decrease performance.

good mod gave me more response and more mid range. best mod i have ever done for a pathetic £15!!!

In essence you could use 8v driver ones in a gti as well to lower compression.

that wouldn't lower compression? shorter pistons would, shorter crank would, off set conrods would, extra thick head gasket would.................

I thought that too about the compression statement.

As for the difference between an 8v and 16v. Belive me you will know as soon as you open the bonnet. Tell tail signs on the body can be the placement of the ariel. If its on the wing its likely to be and 8v and if its on the roof its more likely to be a 16v but pop the bonnet and have a look anyway.
