Part numbers required
« on: 26 March 2006, 17:46 »
Hi all, i need the part numbers for the rubber boot that goes betwen the door and body, the bit you route the central locking wiring and the like through. Anyone have it? :)

Also, the part numbers for the clips that hold the door card, theres two different sorts i think?

Thanks!

191 971 916 A for the rubber boot, tho not any good as the part has been deleted!

3A0 867 301 01C - bottom trim piece, also deleted

321 867 299 B - side clips where the screws go into - £0.55+VAT each :)

I mean they have been discontinued and the dealer most probably wont be able to get them.  Not to worry though, these are very common parts you'll be able to find tons of em down your local scrappy, or if you ask nicly on here ;)

Ah i see :( I had wanted new clips you see, as they tend to break a bit when they come in and out! I know this, i've broke a few :D Also wasnt too sure on the rubber, does it not perish with age?

Anyway, thanks very much for your help, i shall pop down to the dealer tomorrow with those numbers :)

I picked up 2 of those rubber gaiter things week before last as i've started putting central locking on my 5 door. Think they came to about £4.50 for the two, and that was my local VW main dealer in Cardiff. Had to wait for them to arrive but only took a day or two.
Either that or get down the scrappy and borrow them!!

I didnt think that was for asking, only for putting in part numbers for things you knew..? But hey, its nice to have things all over the place :)

That is good news. I would go to the scrappy, but its like a 65 mile round trip, not really worth it for a few clips and rubber boots really! I shall see what hapens withthe stealershiop tomorrow, and ask anyone here if they have what i want if they cant/dont help me.
