HELP!!oil light and buzzer ?

Hello all i own a PB engine GTI which is run like a dream ........
until yesterday.The oil light and buzzer comes on intermittently whilst driving round town,on the motorway its fine.Its recently had the head recon and new oil pressure switch,and the oil level is fine with quantum oil and vag filter.Do you reckon its an electrical fault or is more serious.

unless there is crap in the oil pick up in the sump i would have thought it would be electrical cos if the oil level is ok then thats fine. you did check it when cold right?
is the pressure switch the right one?

you could try draining the oil using oil flush in case its contaminated with crap/passages in the head gummed up etc etc

It's sort of saying sump pick up or oil pressure censor as these are a common fault i've found and they can leak through the crimp where the wire attaches, this causes the alarm to sound and do random stuff.

I get that too when I corned hard. Baffled sump req for me I think
