Having driven mk2 and mk3 16v i don't think there is that much difference in perfomance, and no i'm not joking  :smiley:

If you own a mk1 or mk2 rhd golf you might as well walk unless you have one of these  :laugh:

I hate these mk2 v mk3 arguments, coz everyone bar mk3 drivers knows that the essence of the Golf GTI stopped at the Mk2 and has only just started again with the mk5. They had to put the VR6 into the Mk3 to try and make it as good a car as the Mk2, but even that didn't work. :tongue:

There isn't a rhd mk2 that does 0-60 in less than 8 seconds, oh dear that is SLOW  :laugh:

i will give ya that one but you will go straight through the hedge at the end of the straight because you wont get round the corner!  :grin:

right i started all this! lol but its now gone far enough, tbh i like all golf's, and i think all the different models have there pro's and cons: mk1 raw and fun, mk2 less raw but still fun, mk3 bit more grown up, mk4 .... errr..... modern, mk5 top quality and fun to boot!  :smiley:
