I have got a decent install in mine -
Kenwood mask head unit
10 speakers - 4 pioneers upfront, 2 kenwood 6x4 in the rear cards, 2 17cm kenwoods in the parcel shelf. 2 x 8inch double bass tube, in the boot.
10disc multichanger in the boot
2 amps for parcel shelf and bass tubes (parcel shelf amp is remotely wired for hood down driving)
About 600watts at the moment.
After christmas I am putting another 500 watt amp in and replacing the woofers with 2 Kenwood subs.
Should be about 1000 watts then.
It does sound nice with the roof down, and makes your ears bleed when its up!!! ;)

Hmmm, what do you take me for? It reads "love to love the ladies who love", it'll probably change soon though, but winding '6 up does sound like fun :D

Hey Adam,

Wouldnt mind a bit of advice from you seeing as though you've completed ICE'd out your cab and im just strting to do mine.

I'm replacing ther front door card stock speakers with a set of Infinity 6x4's, now are the rear door card speaker sizes a standard 6x4 also???

Secondly Im gonna be running a single bass tube from an amp and was initially going to put some 6x9's on the shef but a0- I was worried about air displacement damaging the 6x9's then also when the roof is down it completely covers the rear shelf and would cover the sopeakers.

Can you tell me how you've got round this with your set up?

Cheers mate

You'll be suprised how much you can get in a cab boot, it took me a while but i've built a box for 4 x 10". i haven't put all my system in the golf so the box could sound sh#t maybe one day it will get the system installed,

I'll email a picture to Adam if you could post it for me ?

Matt,

The only speakers that are covered with the roof down, are the ones on the rear shelf. To overcome this, I installed a cut-out switch that isolates the amp to the parcel shelf speakers, when the roof is down. The other 8 speakers are more than capable on their own. I have tried running the rear P-Shelf speakers with the roof down, and to be honest , it seemed fine.
