SHAME!!!!
« on: 12 January 2006, 13:18 »
i just got overtken by a 1.4 astra, one of the really old ones....i saw it getting closer so i dropped a cog and sped up but it wasnt enuf, it blew past me, this is a discrace, if my car was runing properly that wouldnt have hapened, its getting slower and slower by the day, and the idles gets higher too, now to the point where i have to turn everything in the car on in an attenpt to slow it down enuf so that when i turn it off it doesnt try and jump start itself... grrrr, i dont really have a question, as my new carb should make my car like it was once, but i needed a moan after that ..... i hate astra`s now, theyre going in my book of bad cars along with the corsa

probably cos Si's appears to be about three inches off the ground - so no wind resistance to worry about..!
dont worry about it haribo, at least u know its gonna get sorted. I remember when i picked my GTi up and it was running like a bag of nuts, i was being overtaken by grannies in their micras!! but was sooo satisfying after i spent the whole of that weekend sorting it - now i overtake everyone   :smug:

Its ok Haribo i hate all vauxhalls from novas to senators apart from the lotus carlton 180 mph in a carlton lol oh and the viva is cool for some tail sliding. I once owned a 1.6 16v m reg astra ( family car you know ) i hated it with a passion i had more problems in 1 month than ive had in 6 years of owning various German motors.

i know the guy, wat makes it worse is that hes a *removed*

Sorry, but if this sort of comment is OK, who gets a bashing on this thread next?  One of the things I've always liked about this forum is the open, friendly and non-judgmental nature of it.  This may have been a light hearted dig, but personally I think it goes a little too far.

no offence to anyone mate, i know him well and hes a nice bloke, hes also a *removed*, which is just as judgemental as dissing the make of car he drives, i talk to him like that to his face and he says nasty things he doesnt mean to me too, its just the way things are these days, just abit of light hearted fun
