Leccy windows

Brought sum valver electric windows, got all the wires wired up (well, the earth and live), but I got a wire Im not sure about, it black and yellow. Comes from the switches. does any body know where they go??

I have installed the mechs yet doing that maybe tommorrow or weekend, depending on if I can work where this wire goes

help please!!

surely it would plug into the pumps to make the windows go up and down, otherwise there is not much point in having a window switch is there...... :huh: :huh:

I don't think they do. they go from the the swicth to the main loom. I got the motor connection sorted

Sounds like the ignition live wire to me?

i think electric windows only have a red and a brown.

the yellow might be to the motor or to the relay. I cant remember as its been a while :rolleyes:

EDIT: What connector number is the wire comming off? Should be a number on the switch

Yeah there should be red (live) brown (earth) and yellow/black (ignition live) running the windows via a relay which is switched when the ignition is on.  This depends if they are after market or genuine VAG kit though

genuine ones out of a valver.  :laugh: ahh I got cha now, i'll give it a try.

Do GTis with manual windows come with the loom in the doors to hook up the motors out of the factory or am I having wishful thinking?
