looked at 8v colour concept
« on: 08 January 2006, 17:24 »
just been looking at 8v colour concept, it as somme history and all previous mots and documents which prove its milage etc, it seems like a genuine car with usual chips on the bonnet, inside is in need of a valet, yellow leather is dirty.

milage 137k
2 lady owners
new 16" alloys with tyres
no real dings or rust
mirrors a bit tatty
drives great

£1850

is this too expensive, like i said it seems genuine would get it hpi-ed, what is it worth?

seems cheap, even if the leather is a bit grubby. What toys has it got? I've got aircon and a sunroof, and the leathers are heated... dunno if they all had that lot? I paid 2500 (almost) six months back but mine had 100K on the clock.

it as the electric sunroof, and not sure about Heated seats, i would guess not. the overall condition is 90% but could be made very nice for little £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£.

i am only going to do 3 or 4 k miles per year so not worried about the mileage.

will these be a future classic

definately. look at the mk1s now. Campaign models are the only ones left, cos they were cherished. mk2s, everyone wants the blue and green ones, and the latest ones are already more expensive than mk3s... CCs were only available for a short time and they were a true SPECIAL edition, cos they had bits that no other edition had. Wheels were available on Corrados, I believe VR6 seats were different designs, and the colours were all one offs. except the red and black. I think!! Even the sill badges are spelled COLOUR which meant they were destined for europe not USA, so that makes it even more special...

Get one, keep it and don't play too far away from standard if you want to protect your classic!

That's why mine's completely standard, not even any wheels or exhaust!!

That sounds ok. I got a blue CC P reg with 139k a year ago for just a bit more but a mint one. As long as your happy that its been looked after then it should be fine. I've got 155K on mine and on top of the service i've only had to replace 2 tyres. Most reliable car i've had!

Try and knock that price down a bit!

If you're referring to what I said I just read it back, and I reckon I could have made it clearer... The 'blue and green ones' I was referring to are the mk2s (Royal Blue and Oak Green) not the Colour Concept colours... I think all are just as desirable than the others, but I still can't see the draw in the black ones??  :undecided:
Yellow and green aren't quite as popular as the blue and red ones as far as I can tell, but that only means there are less of them, so yeah, knock the price a bit, check whether it's got heated seats (there's 2 knurled knobs on the dash to the left of the dials numbers 1-5 for the heater control) and if you like the car, get it!! You can't hope to find a friendlier bunch of know- it- alls than this lot here and if anything goes wrong you can tell us all about it and we can help or laugh as necessary!!

bid £1700 on it, just waiting to see if the girl will sell for that.    it will need a few hundred spending on it to bring it upto a good standard, i will never be a show winner, but i want to drive it not show it.
