Did you wash the car after? Probably a good idea to pour water all over the car and see if the leak is still there. Make sure all the sealant has set first. ;)

Washed the car this morning seems ok but will wait for a good rain shower!

D/mad - Sounds like you have a nice car there mate - being nosey can you advise roughly what you paid for it as I'm looking for exactly the same model - 8v 5dr.

If you think I'm being too nosey - fair enough - no offence taken. :)

It took a long time looking around the country for the exact car I wanted and I was willing to travel from lands end to john o groats for the right car!  and guess what! the one turned up 9 miles from me! the car is immaculate apart from the small waterleak which I new could not be bad as there was no rust on the car on top or below - also in pacific pearlescent blue! it also had the central locking and power steering - the car was immaculate inside - even no wear on drivers seat! just been full serviced and new cambelt and 12 months ticket - the best bit.......................?800! for a 1991 h reg 1.8 gti
total bargain!  well chuffed.  I will put some pics to you if you send me email address!
