German number plates for UK cars

I've been thinkin about this for a while, I came to the conclusion.. f**k it! Keep a spare set of standard uk plates in the boot and if the cops kick up a fuss just say you didnt realise it was illegal and change to the uk plates!.

im gona have a set, with and keep a broke one in the boot... if i get pulled "yes, i am sorry officer, but my plate has broken and havent had time to purchase new ones yet"

nah dont worry about it, at the end of the day, german plates have more or less the same sized and style of letters and numbers as a uk one

yeah they are more illegal and are more likely to get stopped for having white plates on the back

How bout the german seal in the middle which looks a bit like a big red and blue hyphen.
Also if we go to Deutschland with these plates, would we get pulled for running them?

I never got done with mine on there. even the white ones on the back. I removed them one night after I had to pull over when I friend got pulled over and thought it wouldn't play well if I still had them so ripped them off. I removed the front one this weekend. I like the GB ones now lol

i,ve never been stopped for mine either. Again may be a rumour or the same reason as the ANPR camera's but i heard they are cracking down due to the congestion charge cameras in london not charging cars with foreign plates??
