Water Problems...
« on: 07 November 2005, 13:55 »
Well, It looks like my heater matrix has gone (Wet floor mats and no heat) But after checking the engine bay there also seems to be water leaking from the big fat hose that goes from the block to the rad. It seems to be leaking from the connector to the Rad. I ordered a new heater matrix off of e-bay but im not sure about the leak in the engine bay. Any ideas?

take the hose off the rad so you can see where it is leaking from...if it's the hose then that's nice and cheap for you...if it's the radiator then that's not so cheap..

oh, I got a new hose for mine for £5.50 +VAT from GSF, I know it's slightly different for yours but the price should be about the same

Hmmmm the leaks from the block end not the rad end, So its either the hose or....the block??

really hope it is the hose, Not the right month to be replacing expencive bits!

If it's that end then it should be the hose mate

Doesnt look like its the hose, Water seems to be dripping from a switch, If you look at the below image (its an old one) you can see the thicker hose comming off the rad going towards three switches (two on top, one under) The water seems to be comming from under that uni. Thinking possibly somthing has gone inside there, a seal maybe???
