The garage was a bit of a mess before and not the nicest place to work in, so I decided to properly reset it and make it somewhere I actually want to spend time detailing the car again this process has been done over 4 years in total.

Here is some before when I first bought the house and during;

Main changes Years 1-3
- Previous owner has the Asbestos roof replaced but not enough joists were installed in my opinion so re-enforced the roof.
- All the walls had damp on them and water was coming in multiple places around the floor, all walls were painted with multiple coats.
- Floors and gaps were filled with waterproof cement and floors were painted with DPM and then fibre screeded.
- Workshop area had 25kg of trunking done to the walls as the back walls are underground and water was pushing through.
- All floors painted.

All this fixed any water coming in (Thank god)

Main changes Year 4
- Replaced the old 50-year-old garage door with an insulated electric roller door.
- Prepped and painted the floor (again)
- Added PVC Skirting
- Installed Ventlock garage floor mats over the top
- Had a proper clear out and got rid of a load of stuff I didn’t need
- Organised all my detailing products so everything’s easy to get to
- Wall-mounted as many tools as possible to keep the floor clear

It’s made a massive difference already feels way more usable and a lot less cluttered. Hoping it’ll make keeping on top of detailing a bit easier (and more enjoyable). I am kind aof limited in what I can do because its a single skin garage and I don't really want to lose space and don't have the money to full insulate it yet.

Here is a quick video I did of the changes this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oZv9-SvzUI

Not trying to promote anything, just quite pleased with how it turned out and thought I’d share 👍
