44 is crazy high, 40 PSI is even too high in my opinion! The car must drive like its on solid wheels at that pressure! I think 35-36-ish would be more like it. Most tyre fitters tend to default to mid-30's PSI in my experience.
VW bump it up to 40+ for emissions regulations, its nothing to do with optimising the car's setup. Volkswizard's latest video talks about this.
Let me tell you, you could feel very little road imperfection in your bottom! I needed to drive at the recommended pressure first to get a reference point and baseline. I've ordered the Ring rtc4000 after lots of research and will drop it to first 39 PSI. Too low and I could get alloy damage from a pothole - trade offs. Yes, I watched his video, his friend drop it to 35 PSI straight out the showroom
This shouldn't be anything to do with an iOS update. You just need to configure what views/screens are visible on the main dashboard screen by using the VIEW and arrow buttons on the steering wheel. There's loads of various options.
No this is definitely due to upgrading my IOS from 17 to 26. Before upgrading on the left I had set the pressure gauge and on the right I had set the operating temps. As soon as I upgraded my left pressure gauge has now been stolen by nav directions even thought it is all turned off. Happens both on Google maps and Apple Maps but not Waze. I can turn it off in car play setting by toggling all the Siri search setting off and on, but it comes back on within minutes. If it turn off Google maps directions with goes away.
Before I updated my iPhone this is what my dashboard looks like with the pressure gauge.

After updating my iPhone this is what it looks like nice, with nav having taken over the section with the gauge merely overlapped.

Both Donster and I are in Ireland... the winter weather tends to be very wet. Generally very little snow or freezing conditions, they'd be a fairly rare exception. Michelin PS4S's would be a very popular all-year-round choice here on performance cars. I believe Pirelli's PZ6 and Continental's SC7's are considered as good, or even better perhaps.
Interesting, that's very similar to the winter experience here in central England, cold, very wet but rarely snow. I'm still trying to deicide between getting Crossclimate 3 Sport as my winter tyre or get a proper winter type, namely the very good WinterContact TS 870 P.
My dealer has no 18 inch wheels stock. I'm a massive of the TCR forged 18 inch Belvedere's, but no has them online. Prets are available for 1.8k from VW Parts. So looks like I'm keeping the 19 inch on and just swapping the tyres out. No one around me does a touchless service but I've found a tyre shop in the next big city does it. Praying they don't nick or damage the alloys.
I had to flight to get my plaque of the dealership, they wanted to plaque is where everyone else's is as that's where VW UK wants it. .My sales rep did me a sold and fake stuck it there but kept the 3m tape unpealed as requested. I found it can be stuck above the left fan vent, and on the right fan vent driver said. Yet it stick it on myself, limited free time at the moment.
As for total numbers, 492 plaque as of 3rd Nov, which is a mix of PP and none PP.
Congrats Doc and Raymondmc9 - that's a cracking deal! One step closer Joe!
