Hello, I got my Golf Clubsport last weekend and have been wowed by it's performance teeth, but also gentle nature when pootling about. Just what I was looking for!
I like to keep an eye on mechanical temperatures as a general barometer to vehicle health. On my California the water temperature gauge nicely rises consistently, and via the MFD the oil temperature rises a bit more slowly. As is to be expected.
On the Golf, I was pleased to find the display with oil, water and gearbox temps. And have noticed some strange behaviour with water and oil gauges (gearbox is fine), firstly the water temperature at start up from cold is at 90C (?) and the oil temperature whilst rises with driving it constantly flicks in the 80-106C range. With little discernable difference when idling in traffic or driving at steady pace. I'm guessing that's not normal but wanted to check with other owners before I get the car in for a warranty claim.
It's a July 2023 reg with almost 28K on the clock.
