1990s VW MK2 Golf GTI 2.0 8V in Capri Green – An Iconic Classic Upgraded and Ready for a New Chapter
This MK2 Golf GTI is a dream project I picked up recently, intending to bring it fully back to life. It’s got the sought-after 2.0 8V engine from a VW Corrado and a near-new Newman fast road cam. Life has other plans for me at the moment, so here’s a chance for a true enthusiast to take over.

The engine runs smoothly, recently serviced, with a new radiator, and tuned to around 145bhp by Midland VW. Body’s straight and solid just a few minor dings, some rust around the fuel cap and windscreen wiper area. Sunroof has a little lacquer peel, and the bonnet could use a respray.
Comes with a VW wallet filled with history – receipts, old MOTs, tax discs. It’s currently SORN, no MOT, but it wouldn’t take much to get it road-ready. Also includes a bunch of spares.
