Queenstown! Also spec’d pano roof, DCC and HK audio.

I don’t have any other decent pics of it yet as it was still in transport mode, up on blocks, covered in stickers etc. I’ll post some proper pics after I’ve collected it! Very happy with how it looks though even in that state, always really liked moonstone so I’m delighted with the colour choice. It’s years since I had a sunroof on any car so I’m looking forward to that novelty. I love how it makes it look like a black roof too (from the front!).

Yes, the pan roof adds a nice bit of contrast against the lighter paint shades, the other gloss black trim will pop against the moonstone paint work too, it’ll be a beauty for sure! looking forward to further photos.

One more MK8.5 Clubsport order gone in today. My second GTI and replaces my MK7 PP.

I'm trying not to get too excited, since it'll make the wait feel all the longer

Congrats on pressing the button on a new Clubsport.
Same spec as mine bar the colour.

I changed my colour and sales lady confirmed it today and sent me a factory screenshot of this.
Order originally started 13/01 and screenshot shows current production week as 202510. (Start of march)
I appreciate its status 10 so not confirmed yet but still a lot quicker than I expected as I was allowing 6 months.

If yours takes a similar time you've got a good chance of april delivery.

White was tempting too, the gloss black parts really show well against it.

I was between Moonstone and Crystal Blue but in the end couldn't resist the blue. There's something a bit special about it in my eyes.

I’ve seen a Crystal ice blue clubsport in the ‘flesh’ in the showroom, it looked very nice indeed, the gloss black looked superb against the blue,  you will not be disappointed! 👌

Yeah, but many people keep saying this crystal ice blue "is better in real life than in the pictures".

I have to say, it's ABSOLUTELY the same as in the pictures 

I didn't like it in the picture, and I didn't like it in real life  . It's the same smooth ice blue as in the pictures. If you like it - go for it. At least some more interesting colors for the Golf.

I agree that it does look like the pictures in person, but it looks different in different lights, from almost white through to baby blue. I have a few different pictures of a couple of them and in the first pics I saw (indoor, not great light) I genuinely thought it was white.

All that said, before i ordered I made sure to see one in person since it's one of the more 'out there' colours to choose.

I’d go white on a Clubsport as I’m too tight to pay £800 or whatever for Crystal Meth blue, however having seen the blue on a Passat or Golf estate in a VW showroom when mine was in for service I have to say I absolutely LOVED it.

Yes, the lighting does make C,I,B look different, not in a bad way though in my opinion. However I did see the car in the showroom, that would have perhaps enhanced how it looked due to vw dealerships currently appearing to use soft, coloured lighting above the cars of late, I must say, it did neglect to say that the car I saw did have the black pack, that is important, as for me, the colour really doesn’t go well with the red stripe, that is partly why I decided against it and went for dolphin, as I was definitely not having the black pack due to its inflated price.
