Good to see you're also getting the PP with different wheels, did the price also drop for you when changing wheels?

Since I posted that, there has been a change....
They asked me to go back in person to get the order amended. Even though the VW website allows you to specify Queenstowns AND PP together, the VW system doesn't permit it, i saw it myself. The wheel with the PP is diamond turned Estorils, not too much of a problem for me as they were my 2nd choice. Interesting to see you can still select Queenstowns on the configurator.
I originally specified two tone red/black paint via Carwow, but was later told that wasnt available either.
Order now sorted anyway & is now with the factory waiting to be built, was updated a couple of days ago.

Interesting thank you, so the only way you can have PP is to have the wheels which come with it and no other option?

As your in the market for an 8.5 Clubsport with black Estoril wheels, you may want to call up listers VW in Evesham, I’ve been there today and they have an 8.5 CS with black Estorils, pan roof, area view and harman kardon in Crystal ice blue metallic in the showroom, it’s only been in there for a day or two and they’ve had lots of interest already, could be a great way of skipping the long wait for one.

It looked absolutely awesome to be honest! Made me doubt my choice of Dolphin for my GTI. Although I don’t think crystal ice blue would look quite right with the red grill stripe which my car will have, this car had the black pack though, what a car!, had I not of already ordered I think I would have left there today as its owner, no joke!, I’d take it over a slightly bigger spoiler and akra all day long, the saving on the PP would pay for this ones many other options, plus it has the wheels you prefer. Each to their own though of course, different strokes for different folk! as they say.

I can see a visit to Evesham coming up....
It'd be nice to take a look at the 8.5.
Interesting you mention the spoiler, I've heard the PP has a larger spoiler that the already large CS spoiler, has anyone any more info at all or even pics?
Was thinking about the wheels and may just have to firm the diamond cut stories and offer to swap them with someone who has the black versions

Yes, definitely Dolphin grey, dolphin does look very smart, and works very well with the red, glad I chose it.

I'll say it once again, Dolphin Grey is by far the best colour for MK8 and MK8.5. So sporty & aggressive.

I had one in that colour, and in pristine condition and under the showroom spotlights/sunny skies I agree, but on a dull grey day (i.e. most of the time) not so much.

Still a lovely colour though.

yeah the drawback is that it's a perfect-looking colour only when completely clean. Some dust & rain makes it every other grey colour, unfortunately.

Pretty much no car paint colour looks at its best in either poor lighting conditions or when anything other than clean.

IMHO light, brighter paint colours can still look OK in dull light and are easier to maintain, so these days for me it’s no more dark paint colours which can be a labour of love to keep them looking good .
