Has anyone ordered the CS with Performance pack? Am looking to order but noticed when you choose PP with the black estorils the price for PP is around £1000 and not £3500, anyone else noticed this?

Hi all, first time poster here (returning to the forum after 5 years away) - ordered an 8.5 Clubsport last week in Kings Red with almost a full options list. Managed to bag £4500 towards my finance deposit, £600 discount & parking pack as a freebie. I guess the dealer was very keen to get my business !
Been told to expect Dec - Feb for delivery.

How did you manage that PhillyJ81?
Do you have any tips on haggling the price down at all on a factory order or does anyone else? Not ordered a new car in over 20 years so keen to learn some tips :)

The price only goes up £95 if you select Queenstown wheels and then PP afterwards, so looks like a glitch of some sort?! 🤷‍♂️

In fact after doing more looking it is only £95 is I choose pp then go back and choose stories in black. I don't want to spend that then realise when it arrive there was in fact a glitch and there's no Acrapovik

I originally went via Carwow for which the dealer gave me a chunk towards my finance. I was fortunate enough to get another VW promotion on top of that as well - just good timing.
Regarding the free parking pack - said I could have it as goodwill for them quoting me wrongly for something, still not sure what it was though !
And on top of that they just gave me a discount. Must be just a very friendly dealership

As I’m sure you already know, the PP includes Estoril wheels, however, I find it odd that when you select PP it shows the car as having the correct diamond cut Estorils, but you cannot spec those wheels on their own, the Configurator summary pictures do show it as having the Akro when PP is chosen however, and of course the PP does include that exhaust, so if PP is on the order sheet, it will be fitted, however, you will need to order the car at the dealership, and the prices will likely differ in their system, all I can suggest is configuring the car online with the lower price, and then saving the configuration and giving that config code to the dealer, who knows, you may well be able to positively gain from the irregularities of VWs notoriously glitchy system. 👌

Hey @PhillyJ81, how is your order progressing?? I ordered a near fully optioned 265 GTI just before yourself, I too was quoted late December / early Jan delivery! However my car is now at Status 40 (in the UK) and will be at the dealership imminently, has your order moved along with similar speed??

Yes, although the PP comes with estorils I've had enough of the worry of diamond cut wheels over the years so would rather stick to none. I don't really like the black editorials either but they're the cheapest non diamond cut wheels I can have with PP, I'd rather have prets :)

When we looked it did still have the PP code so fingers crossed it'll come with the black wheels and acra :)

Thank you, looking forward to getting back into a GTI after 5 years in Audis.
Full option list & spec is:

Kings Red with black roof
19" Queenstowns
DCC
HK stereo
Pan roof
Heads up display
360 camera
Park assist
Performance pack with Akra exhaust

Good to see you're also getting the PP with different wheels, did the price also drop for you when changing wheels?

Since I posted that, there has been a change....
They asked me to go back in person to get the order amended. Even though the VW website allows you to specify Queenstowns AND PP together, the VW system doesn't permit it, i saw it myself. The wheel with the PP is diamond turned Estorils, not too much of a problem for me as they were my 2nd choice. Interesting to see you can still select Queenstowns on the configurator.
I originally specified two tone red/black paint via Carwow, but was later told that wasnt available either.
Order now sorted anyway & is now with the factory waiting to be built, was updated a couple of days ago.
