There is a further £750 off when using VWFS from Friday as part of their ‘Summer Sale’.
Prime time to order between then and the 3rd September price rise.
Got a confirmed build week of 36 on my Moonstone today. I asked the question as to whether they could get the extra £750 added on…. shall see!

DTD now have the standard GTI with no options for £32,745. Discount of £6,155 inc £3,250 deposit contributuion. For a limited time only. Pretty good deal.

Pretty good price that. The thing that put me off using DTD, was the fact that the dealership that is providing the cars at that rate is located in Yorkshire, for me that would have meant the car would have been a driven delivery of 150 miles, at that point I wouldn’t regard it as a new car, they also wouldn’t entertain a trade in unfortunately. My local dealership got pretty darn close to that mind you.

Is there an option to pick it up?

Yes, you can always tell DtD and the dealer you want to pick it up. When I ordered my mum's Polo from there last year I was actually asked by DtD if I want free driven delivery or want to collect it. I opted for free driven delivery as thought it's only a 1litre 95 bhp, the driver can hardly rip it. With a GTI I would definitely be picking it up though no matter where it is and then enjoy the drive back

I’d imagine so, once DTD have introduced you, the rest of the sale is conducted through the dealership, I don’t see why you couldn't have it transported too, but that would be at your own cost as only driven delivery is offered free.

I’ve put an order in to take advantage of this extra £750 and get in before the price rise. Was not planning on ordering this year but don’t think I’ll get a better deal next year, but who knows

What are peoples thoughts on the new wheel option for the Clubsport and R? Can't decide to go with the 'Warmenau' or stick with the 'Estoril' I have now.

I’d stick with Estoril’s; fewer spokes, less fussy and cleaner design, so easier to wash.

And I’d definitely not go for the diamond cut version for the reasons I’ve mentioned many times before on the forum.

I should of said, I really don't care about washing my car a lot, like it dirty  , so the cleaning aspect doesn't bother me. (sorry in advance to the detailers)

However I do think the Estorils are less fussy, but if I stick with them i'd have an identical car to what I have now

Personally, I'd choose the new Queenstown wheel, as it's the new wheel, distinctively the facelift wheel and I think they look good. They're also unique to the GTI whereas the Estorils and those fussy spoke'd wheels can be spec'd on an R. I've Estoril's on my MK8 and I'd want something different. Not a fan of fussy intricate spokes so I wouldn't consider the other alternative.

I will be asking the same question today, although, having only just ordered, I could possibly cancel and order again if needs be.
