Personally, I'd choose the new Queenstown wheel, as it's the new wheel, distinctively the facelift wheel and I think they look good. They're also unique to the GTI whereas the Estorils and those fussy spoke'd wheels can be spec'd on an R. I've Estoril's on my MK8 and I'd want something different. Not a fan of fussy intricate spokes so I wouldn't consider the other alternative.

I really do not like the Queenstown wheel, too chunky for me, much prefer an open multispoke wheel.

Yes, they had a golf in that colour outside VW cheltenham, didn’t look good to me, looked ok in the press shots of the GTE, but definitely looked different in the ‘flesh’, may be that it’s a model specific thing, I think it was on a style when I looked at it, perhaps looks better on others?! Wouldn’t be my choice.

I'd really recommend seeing whatever colour you are thinking about with your own eyes.

I know when i looked at all of the colours I thought I might have wanted in the dealer yard it became obvious some of the colours weren't anything like what you see in photos or videos or VW brochures...

There is a further £750 off when using VWFS from Friday as part of their ‘Summer Sale’.
Prime time to order between then and the 3rd September price rise.
Got a confirmed build week of 36 on my Moonstone today. I asked the question as to whether they could get the extra £750 added on…. shall see!

I asked the same question for my existing order, and this was the reply 

Thank you for asking, unfortunately the criteria VW UK set for the event is that a vehicle must be ordered within the period of the Summer Sale event, between 19th August and 3rd September, so a vehicle must be tagged (assigned to a customer) between 19th August and 3rd September.

It was what I was expecting, so not really surprised. Worth asking though!

The response from my dealership earlier today, was that they had in fact already included the £750 in the discounts, as they knew it was coming up, I have only ordered very recently though, so perhaps they were able to somehow, he did explain but I didn’t get a grasp of the numbers as I was away from home and didn’t have the paperwork in front of me!

I plan to have my GTI for just over another 19 months. I’m enjoying the car now after the “bongs” have finally been silenced. I won’t be buying another VW next though. Totally disillusioned with their shortcomings re the Mark 8 particularly for those who bought their cars outright. I still love the King's Red finish with the Adelaide wheels, it’s a good looking car and dirty or clean I have never noticed a pink tinge!
