Weirdly they seem to have dropped the price by £1000.. I don’t know whether to be sad, I thought it  was worth £17,000, I means what do they think is wrong with it … or happy , price I got seems reasonable now.. never happy!😃

Dealerships will monitor prices, especially bigger chains. Sometimes these figures aren’t set by someone actually at the dealership. Don’t take it as a slur on the car Pixwix, I doubt they gave it much more than a cursory glance.
It’s not uncommon for a new in stock car to initially go on the forecourt at a higher price to see if it gets any early interest, only to be brought in line with general pricing shortly afterwards. Sales have been quiet of late so the market will demand price drops. High interest rates don’t help and general elections cause people to slow their personal spending I’ve been reliably informed in the past.
