I have had PS4s's before and they were a great tyre but just wondered if anyone tried these yet?

I’ve got a set, no complaints. Been on for nearly 12 months and wearing well. Feel a bit harsh in the cold until they warm up a bit but miles better than the Bridgestone Potenza’s I had previously. Can’t compare to PS4 as I’ve never ran them.

Unfortunately they aren't as good as PS4S or even PS4 though.

I would there is a slight drop in extreme grip with my PS5's compared to my previous PS4's - but I think the PS5 is a tyre aimed at being sporty as well as having good wear characteristics which probably means a slightly harder compound, which seems to be noticeable as the temperature drops.

I see the PS S5 (not sure why the name has changed) is out but only for 20/21" rims.

Running 19s in PS5's, they're alright I preferred my PS4S's though.

Mostly because people talking usually just write PS4s for the Pilot Sport 4 and PS4S for Pilot Sport 4S, meant reviews were harder to discern. Now PS5 and PSS5 are easier to differentiate.

PS5 and PS4S aren't even in the same category really. 4S is the track/sporty tyre and the PS5 like the PS4 is a comfort based road tyre. Both the Goodyear Asy6 and the Continental Sport 7 are more sporty feeling than the soft Michelin.

Sorry I wasn't alluding to them being in the same category, just that I preferred the PS4S's over the PS5's. I actually found the PS4S's more comfortable than the PS5's.

PS4S's are crap in winter though.

I am not looking for an arguement, but I was really impressed with the standard fitment PS4-S on the GR Yaris on wet winter roads, I assume that is down to the 4wd system rather than just Fwd on our Golf's.
