My Golf - Fuel Pump
« on: 21 October 2005, 11:25 »
Hi guys !

havent posted on here for a long time ... but if you remember my golf I had a problem with the ecu and then the engine filling with petrol ... now after redoing the earth straps everything appears fine.

I have taken it down to a local vw garage (seems like a cool guy).  He is working on it between jobs so it's not going to cost me much, but he is still trying to diagnose the problem.  He is unsure why the fuel pump is constanly running - he is a mechanic so he should know shouldnt he, but I thought I may try and help him with any feedback from you guys ..

He checked the fusebox for any shorts but it doesnt appear to be that ... has disconnected the fuel pump so no fuel pumps.  it seems that the injectors are constantly open though and he mentioned to me that he will be checking the engine speed sensor.

Any help appreciated guys as I really need my car sorted but he is taking looong time :P

I think he may have already changed the ecu once already. Have you?
