Thanks all. TBH, I'm not getting out of the GTI for any other reasons that

a) I've been in a MK7(7.5) Golf now for nearly 10 years (since 2013) and just fancy a change, but keeping the best bits from the Golf's (i.e. ergonomics, controls, infotainment etc), and

b)(and this is a big one), the price I've got though Motorway for my 4.5-year-old GTI means I've only lost just over 13% of my actual purchase price in all that time (which is insane and a result of the crazy times we are living in).

Nice car, but I'm not impressed with the wrap - you're almost 60

It’s Nightshade Blue. Most of the stuff I fitted to the GTi is either already off, or coming off tomorrow. The only thing I’m debating leaving are the under seat drawers, as whilst I’d love to remove them and sell the parts on, it was a pain to fit them and I don’t know if I’ll have the time before it’s collected on Thursday.

Whenever I see a golf gti, I always take a look at the driver. The last 4 or 5 mk7s I’ve seen were driven by middle aged men.

Saw a 7.5 this morning. Guy driving must’ve been 70+.

Getting to 60 is not a reason to sell, it’s a reason to buy!

But I can understand a change is nice now and then.

Lovely car for some lucky buyer

I do the same! Most I see are middle-aged women who look like they've just bought it because it was an upmarket Golf. I feel sorry for those cars as I suspect they are never pushed anywhere near their potential.
