Do it....

If there's no or minimal financial repercussions I can see no reason why you wouldn't do it.

Ask yourself this, will you have more regrets if you do or if you don't go for it?

Write on a sheet of paper two columns, for and against and see how it pans out.

Oh and finally. Just do it....Life's too short to have regrets.

I like your way of thinking and that’s the road I’m going down. I’m coming to terms of maybe having to pay the high tax but is it that much different to my standard GTI is what’s holding me back now.

Well, you know my thoughts on the car Adam!! I would definitely go for it. Your bits and bobs plus wheels will all be ready to be swapped straight over to it too. Well, apart from the key skins but that’ll give you an excuse to buy the red ones!

I think the last price increase was 1st December 2021. With a further increase due 1st April, then I’d hazard a guess there’d be at least one more price increase before year end. If so, then there’s a good chance a Clubsport with a current list price of £39,050 will list at over £40k by the start of next year.

Do you know what the price increase was in December 21?

2% according to this discussion thread started by Lee Evans (evo1986)

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

So if it was 2% again then I would still be under 40k and that big if like!

Was talking to my dealer today and they are quoting 60 plus weeks lead time
In saying that i think it’s a great deal especially as your payments are staying the same
Your going into a brand new car with a higher resale value than your own at the same cost
As for paying extra for the tax it may or may not happen
First year tax is included in your price so depends how long you plan to keep the car how much extra it will cost you but I think the resale on your on the Clubsport will more than cover the extra tax cost

Good way to look at it that. I think I’m going to do it. 60 weeks is nuts though!

At least by the time it comes you may have one with no software issues and updated hardware
Plus you may find some changes to specification like led back lit controls for the heater
As for the deletion of options I was told once a car was ordered with a spec it would not come with any lesser /deleted specifications
Option deletions will only apply to new orders and the dealer should inform you if this is the case at time of order
When’s the face lift due ? Could you possibly end up with a face lifted car
Good luck with the decision
